Charles Zhang Selected as the 2015 Sibley School Outstanding Senior Award
Charles Zhang served as the Vice President for the 2014-2015 school year, as well as serving as the Newsletter Editor since 2013. His career in ASME began as the Webmaster in 2012 at the end of his freshman year. As well as coordinating events with the rest of the board, Charles spearheaded communications with the national ASME organization as well as writing newsletters throughout each semester.
He is very active within the MAE community as well; he has been involved in Cornell Mars Rover and Intel-Cornell Cup, and has also served as a TA for Mechatronics his junior year. Born in Beijing, Charles spent most of his childhood in Japan before moving to the US. He graduated from high school in Delaware; currently his family resides outside Nashville, Tennessee.
Charles will be receiving his Bachelor's this May, and he expects to earn a Master of Engineering in December 2015. He is well-versed in mechanical design, although he is also interested in manufacturing systems.
