On 25 October Cornell alum Dr Paula Doubrawa provided illuminating insights into the research and working environment at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory with a presentation to 20 Engineering undergrads, graduate students and postdocs at lunchtime entitled ‘ What’s it like to be a researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory?’.
Dr Doubrawa was on campus to give a lecture in her former supervisor Professor Barthelmie’s course ‘MAE4020 Wind Power’ on offshore wind power. She then described NREL’s wind energy research and gave an enthusiastic q&a session fielding a diverse and interesting range of questions from Cornell students.
