After eight years of planning, submitting, winning, building and waiting, Cornell University’s CUSat – a nanosatellite designed and built by engineering students to help calibrate global positioning systems (GPS) with pinpoint accuracy - launched successfully on the Falcon, which lifted off from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, Sunday, Sept 29, 2013 and is now being operated from the mission control center in Rhodes Hall.
