Barthelmie (Sibley School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering) are co-PIs of a multi-million dollar grant from the Department of Energy for their research, ‘A HIERARCHICAL EVALUATION FRAMEWORK FOR ASSESSING CLIMATE SIMULATIONS RELEVANT TO THE ENERGY-WATER-LAND NEXUS’, with colleagues at Iowa State University, the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, the National Center for Atmospheric Research, the University of California-Los Angeles and Texas A&M.
More than $1 million dollars of the grant is coming to the Cornell researchers, and is being used to develop optimal modeling methods for provision of local-to-regional scale climate information to support decision-making regarding climate impacts, adaptation and mitigation.
