Prof. Peck helps announce CubeSat competition at White House Astronomy Night

Cornell University, The Museum of Science Fiction and NASA Space Grant consortia grantees are hosting a competition for high-school students to get CubeSat projects they develop launched into space. The announcement was made Oct. 19 during White House Astronomy Night.

The partnership was enabled by Mason Peck, associate professor (MAE) and member of the Museum of Science Fiction's Board of Advisors. Peck was invited to the White House to participate in the night's festivities, which included the announcement of several other private-sector commitments as part of President Obama's "Educate to Innovate" campaign.
