MAE's Professor David Erickson has accepted the position of associate dean for research and graduate studies

for the Engineering College announced by the Dean of Engineering, Lance Collins.

David is the Sibley College Professor in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, and focuses his research on mobile health technology, microfluidics, photonics and nanotechnology. He’s the cofounder of several startup companies as well as Cornell’s Institute for Nutritional Sciences, Global Health and Technology (INSiGHT) – a cross-campus initiative focused on scaling up technology capable of solving global health problems.

He will maintain his research laboratory while assuming the duties of the associate dean’s position, which includes supporting faculty research, identifying major funding opportunities, coordinating department reviews, administering fellowship funds and serving as a member of the senior leadership team of the college.
