AAOS 2018 Kappa Delta Young Investigator Award

Dr. Andarawis-Puri has been selected to receive this award for her outstanding research. She will be presented the award at the AAOS 2018 Annual Meeting in March, 2018.

Dr. Andarawis-Puri has been selected to receive the 2018 Kappa Delta Young Investigator Award. The award will be presented in New Orleans, March 6-10, during the 2018 Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS). The awards are bestowed for outstanding manuscripts that focus on basic and/or clinical research related to the musculoskeletal system. The title of her manuscript was ‘Promoting Effective Tendon Healing and Remodeling’. 

The Young Investigator Award is dedicated to the future of musculoskeletal health.  The first annual award, a single stipend of $1,000, was made available to the Academy in 1949 and presented at the annual meeting in 1950.  At present the annual award of $20,000 is given.
