EMERSON NEWS Janaury 2004 Equipment fhe closure of the College of Engineering Machine Shop (formerly ADFF) has allowed Emerson to upgrade many of its mills and lathes. The Green Apron area has been significantly expanded and we are on our way to replacing all The Leblond instructional lathes July 2003 Emerson received an Academic Equipment Grant from SUN for $62,213.00. The money will be used to install a server and two workstations to support the CNC work. The new server will be used to run tand manage the MCAD/CAM/CAE (Mechanical Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Engineering) software used in the CNC program. April 2003 A generous donation from Moog has provided us another mill.
