The Materials Processing and Testing Lab is located in the rear of the Emerson Lab in 116 Rhodes Hall and is available to Sibley School students, faculty and staff to support their coursework and research.  Use of this equipment is restricted to lab courses and by permission only.  The following equipment is available:

Instron 8500 Load Frame and data acquisition system

·

Strain Gage Indicators and Switch/Balance Unit

·

1800 Degrees (C) Ovens

·

64 Channel DAQ Systems (PC)

·

Themocouple DAQ System (PC)

Anyone wishing to use of the equipment in Materials Property Lab must get approval PRIOR to use. To obtain approval submit an outline of the work intended to be performed, the equipment to be used, time frame for use (when, how long), whether training needs to be provided and any other relevant information. Requests can be submitted by email to: Matt Ulinski at mu25@cornell.edu You will also need to review the Operating Rules and Procedures to use the facility.
