Commencent Ceremony 

Directly follows the University Commencement Ceremony at Schoellkopf Stadium
 
Sunday, May 30th, 2010
BAILEY HALL
Doors close at approx. 12:45 p.m.
 
Ceremony duration:  approximately one hour 
Refreshments to follow directly after the ceremony on the plaza outside of Bailey Hall
Viewing of the B.S., M.E. ’10 Senior Video  – Bailey Hall -  following reception

Students may participate in both the University ceremony on December 19, 2009 in addition to the University/Sibley Commencement ceremonies on May 30, 2010. Students who have completed their degree requirements in December are awarded a January 2010 degree.

B.S., Mechanical Engineering Class of 2010

Class 2006

Students (Graduate and Undergraduate):
  • Tickets will not be required for entry to Bailey Hall. 
  • Students should wear their academic regalia to Bailey Hall.
  • Students will be assigned seats in the middle rows of Bailey Hall in the order in which they will be called-up on stage (names will be posted to the back of each seat). Students should be seated by 12:30 in Bailey Hall.  M.Eng. May 2010 degree recipients who also earned a B.S., M.E. January 2010 degree will be called on to the stage once as an M.Eng. recipient. 

Guests:

  • Tickets will not be required for entry to Bailey Hall.  Students will receive instructions for special seating requests. There is no restriction on the number of guests attending.  
  • Guests should be seated by 12:40. 
  • In accordance with New York State fire codes, all audience members must be seated.  Standing in the aisles, exits, and the back of the auditorium is prohibited.   
  • Refreshments will be available directly after the Sibley ceremony. Food will not be available before 1:45, therefore, if needed, guests should bring a snack to be eaten before entering Bailey Hall.  Food and drink are restricted from Bailey Hall. 
  • Guests must remain in their seats during the Ceremony; a professional photographer will be taking a picture as each graduate/award recipient is congratulated on stage. 
  • Photographs will be available for purchase directly from the photographer via an on-line link which will be provided to all students.
