Senior Design Elective

The senior design elective must be taken during the senior year.  There are three ways to fulfill the senior design requirement:

  1. Through a formal 3-credit class from the list of "design courses", taken along with one credit of MAE 4291.
  2. Through a student team, taken as at least 3 units of MAE 4291.
  3. Through an individual project with a faculty member, taken as at least 3 units of MAE 4291

The senior design requirement can be satisfied with a designated 3-credit approved M&AE senior design elective course, e.g, MAE 4000, 4020, 4040, 4140, 4230, 4250, 4700, or 4860 in addition to one corresponding MAE 1-credit MAE 4291.  This requirement may also be fulfilled by enrolling in an independent research, project or team endeavor as MAE 4291 for a minimum of 3 credits.
