Senior Design Elective
The senior design elective must be taken during the senior year. There are three ways to fulfill the senior design requirement:
- Through a formal 3-credit class from the list of "design courses", taken along with one credit of MAE 4291(429).
- Through a student team, taken as at least 3 units of MAE 4291.
- Through an individual project with a faculty member, taken as at least 3 units of MAE 4291
The senior design requirement can be satisfied with a designated 3-credit approved M&AE senior design elective course, e.g, MAE 4000(400), 4020(402), 4040 (as of Spring 2009), 4140 (as of Fall 2009), 4230(423), 4250(425), 4700(470), or 4860(486) in addition to one corresponding MAE 1-credit MAE 4291. This requirement may also be fulfilled by enrolling in an independent research, project or team endeavor as MAE 4291 for a minimum of 3 credits.
The Senior Design Report is to be submitted to the Faculty Project Advisor with the completed cover sheet attached for MAE 4291.
