| Coursework in Fluid Dynamics |
| One of the strengths of fluid mechanics graduate research at Cornell is the existence of a community of people interested in the theory, analysis, and measurement of fluid systems that is spread across several departments. Interactions within this community include collaborative research projects, joint seminars, and graduate courses. These interactions are further encouraged through the requirement for PhD students to specialize in a minor subject. Related to fluid mechanics, minor subjects commonly taken by students include applied mathematics, computer science, chemical engineering, and electrical engineering. Below we list the graduate level fluids courses currently offered in our department together with a sample of courses commonly taken in other departments. |
