Babalola and Galley win student awards
Conratulations to Tunde Babalola and Natalie Galley for their recent awards at the DPE annual awards banquet. Diversity Programs in Engineering's (DPE) Annual Awards Banquet honors the academic success of students and acknowledges the students and faculty who are making a difference within the college. Award recipients are selected by the number of nominations received in conjunction with qualitative examples of their deeds and efforts provided in the nomination. Tunde Babalola won the Graduate Student of the Year award, which recognizes a graduate student who has made a significant contribution to DPE, the College of Engineering, or the lives of others. This award recipient is someone who may have done something innovative, bold, shown bravery, or positively contributed to the college's climate toward diversity. Natalie Galley won the Graduate Excellence in Leadership Award, which honors a graduate student who has positively impacted his/her department, the college, or other Cornell student community while holding a leadership position within a College of Engineering or other graduate student organization. This award recipient is a leader who has motivated, guided, and supported his/her engineering organization or other campus student organizations by trusting and working effectively with his/her colleagues, honoring the contributions of every member of the organization, and encouraging others to excel on their own while they strive to improve the organization.
