Simplifying Complexity: Using Agent-Based Simulation to Solve Complex Business Problems
Abstract:
"Complexity Science" is an umbrella term for techniques designed to deal with problems of high complexity. In this presentation we will discuss how complexity manifests itself in a variety of natural and human-made systems. We will provide a brief introduction to Agent-Based Simulation, and demonstrate how this complexity science technique is being used to solve complex problems in a variety of industries and application areas. The presentation will include a number of real-world case studies from projects implemented for a variety of industry and government organizations.
