- 2-D and 3-D cooling-system design programs using boundary-element method;
analysis based on steady-state heat conduction with various boundary
conditions on cavity and coolant sides; for 2-D analysis, cooling channels
can be relocated and resized in the mold boundary without remeshing the
system; optimal design can be obtained by iterating on various
configurations; the pre- and post-processors for the 2-D program rely
heavily on GASP (IBM) graphic routines; the 3-D program interfaces with
SUPERTAB for mesh discretization and MOVIE.BYU for graphic post-processor;
