Senior Design Requirements

The senior design requirement must be fulfilled during the senior year in one of three ways:

  • Through a formal three-credit class from the list of "design courses" taken along with one credit of MAE 4291.
  • Through a student team, taken as at least three units of MAE 4291.
  • Through an individual project with a faculty member, taken as at least three units of MAE 4291
  • Consult Courses for course-related MAE 4291 senior design projects

The senior design requirement can be satisfied with a designated three-credit approved MAE senior design elective course, for example, MAE 4000, 4020, 4140, 4230, 4250, 4550 (will not be offered 2012/2013 academic year), 4640, 4700, or 4860 in addition to one corresponding one-credit MAE 4291. This requirement may also be fulfilled by enrolling in an independent research, project or team endeavor as MAE 4291 for a minimum of three credits.
