Computers
Accounts for the Windows NT machines will be provided to all registered users and class sections.
If you have been issued your own PC account, you will have data storage available on the server H drive. You can locate this in the My Computer Folder, YourNetID$ on H. This space will be available for you as long as you have a valid PC account. These accounts typically last the entire academic year, unless arranged otherwise.
There is no private or secure local data storage. The local drives are routinely upgraded and any data stored on the drives will be lost.
Zip drives, floppy and CD R/W are provided for additional backup.
The Sibley School adheres to the Cornell University policy on the use of computers. This can be found at: http:/www.cit.cornell.edu/computer/responsible-use/.
Log off when done using a computer. Never use the lock out feature to save a computer for later use – violation of this rule will result in loss of computer privileges.
