Technical Focus
The primary emphasis is on dynamics and control, with a specialization in estimation problems and Kalman filtering. Applications of primary interest include GPS/GNSS-based systems, GPS/GNSS receivers, and satellite attitude and orbit determination problems. Efforts include the development of problem models, novel system designs/concepts, and numerical estimation algorithms. Much effort is spent on evaluating new algorithms and new estimation or control system concepts. Some projects involve flight hardware and experiments, and other projects are based primarily on analysis and simulation. Most efforts involve a significant amount of encoding of custom-designed numerical analysis software.
