Ph.D. Positions

For students wishing to be considered for the doctoral program at Cornell beginning in the 2008-2009 academic year, please note that admissions are carried out at the department level. For more information please use maegrad@cornell.edu for mechanical engineering and biomedgrad@cornell.edu for Biomedical Engineering. When applying please be sure to mention an interests in our research group.

For those students who are admitted into these programs we are looking for another two to three Ph.D. students for the 2008-2009 academic year. If you are interested please be sure to contact Professor Erickson.

Master of Engineering Positions

For motivated Master of Engineering students interested in pursuing research in microfluidics or optofluidics we have a number of open projects. Typically these projects involve independent research work, in collaboration with a Ph.D. student or post-doc. The projects can be either numerical or experimental in nature. We strongly prefer to involve M.Eng. students in research starting at the begining of the fall term through the end of the spring term (an 8 month project). If you are interested please contact Professor Erickson.

We have a current M.Eng. project opening for a student interested in the surface chemistry of optical nanostructures. Details of the project are availiable here.

Undergraduate Research Positions

For motivated Undergraduate researchers we have a few open research projects. These projects are typically developed around the student's interest and education level and conducted in collaboration with a Ph.D. student. If you are interested please contact Professor Erickson.
